We are excited to announce our fundraising campaign in honor of Collegiate Recovery Week, a national event dedicated to celebrating and supporting college students in recovery from substance use disorders. Addiction is a serious problem on college campuses across the country, and students in recovery often face unique challenges as they pursue their education and maintain their sobriety.
Nevada’s Recovery and Prevention (NRAP) is a collegiate recovery program at the University of Nevada, Reno. We provide an environment of support and peer connections for students recovering from substance use and behavioral disorders and students living substance-free. Through our on-campus lounge, students can drop in between classes to study, attend meetings and make new friends. To support UNR’s sober students, we offer recovery and wellness meetings, academic advising and opportunities for community service. Outside of lounge hours, NRAP facilitates sober activities to assist in enriching the lives of its members and equip them with skills to continue expanding personally and professionally.
By supporting NRAP during Collegiate Recovery Week, you’d be helping to create a brighter future for University students in recovery. Your donation will go directly toward supporting our efforts to provide education, resources and support to these students, as well as to the communities that support them. All week we will be advocating, honoring and celebrating collegiate recovery voices. Please consider making a gift today to help NRAP enhance and expand resources available to students while transforming the collegiate culture surrounding substance use and addictive behaviors.
