Well, the magic non drinking pill has not been found yet. However scientists have designed a compound that could inactivate alcohol linked neurons in the brain. According to Science Magazine, Researchers at The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) have been able to completely reverse alcohol dependency in rats, The rats still seek out sugar water which leads them to believe the rats are still trying to satisfy there rewards center. So for now it’s good old fashioned recovery for those seeking freedom from alcohol addiction.
